I know, as a young person, it’s hard to find people our age that have the same faith. Most of my friends are of different religions, so, does that mean I have to stop being friends with them? No, Mark 12:31 said, “thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” It doesn’t matter their religion, sex,or race.

As Christians we can be faced with temptation when we are around unbelievers. That’s why we need to keep a close relationship with God. Proverbs 12:26 said, “The righteous should choose his friends carefully for the wicked leads them astray”. We as Christians, should always choose our friends carefully, because if we don’t we will get off the path of the kingdom of God. We need to be the light in a very dark world.

So, how do you talk to your friends who are unbelievers? As second Timothy 2:24-26 says, as servants of the lord we need to be kind. We should gently teach those who disagree with the truth and be patient with difficult people. As the scripture says we need to encourage them, not force them into our religion. Many people never grew up knowing about God, so I should introduce him to them. Inviting them to church is a small step to help them understand and get to know God.

Remember, in order to draw unbelievers to Christ we have to show love because God is love.
