Over the years, my faith has changed quite a bit, and I feel as if it is only right to start from the beginning with the story that is the growth of my faith. For a long time, my faith in God was solely based on what I had been taught. I knew that God sent his one and only son to forgive our sins, I knew of stories like David and Goliath, Jonah and the Whale and the Birth of Jesus Christ, just to name a few; But at that point, I didn’t have this grand testimony that many other people had been raving about.
My testimony is as follows, I used to be so average. I was average in school, I was average with my faith, I was average just for the sake of being average. That was all set to change. Once I started high school, it’s like a rush of pure ambition rushed over me. I started to care a lot more about my future and my life in general. I had this rush of not wanting to be average any more things mattered to me. Throughout my high school days, I went from being a student who was maintaining a 2.8 GPA to a student who graduated with a 4.2 GPA. God transformed me into a young lady with a clear and positive outlook on life and my goal with that is to prosper in my academics and career. One Bible verse that has carried me through is Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. That verse to me means to love the Lord and be faithful to him and in return, you will be blessed.
Now that I’m a college student, my faith has grown astronomically, I have multiple testimonies in which God brought me through something that did not seem like I could push through. I am blessed and highly favored and sometimes, I tend to forget that. At the end of the day, I serve a God who is mighty and who has a plan for me to be great.
