Bishop Prince E. W. Bryant, Sr. is a native of East Texas and the fifteenth child of Deacon Bishop and Mamie Bryant. He began preaching at the age of 15 under the late Elder Eddie Davis.
He was licensed under the late Bishop C.H. Nelson and ordained by the late Bishop S. M. Crouch of Los Angeles, California. Bishop Bryant has been preaching and pastoring for more than 58 years.
During his tenure, he has pastored seven churches and remodeled or built three of them. He currently pastors The Island of Hope Church of God in Christ and Buck Street Memorial Church of God in Christ in Houston, Texas.
Actively involved in the Ecumenical and Civic Community. He has served two terms as President of the Mayor’s Advisory Board to the Mayor of Houston and as a Community Relations Consultant to the Houston Police Department.
Received his formal education at Concord High School in Mt. Enterprise, Texas. Furthered his education through LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles, California, The Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, Texas, and The Family Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado, where he received his Doctor of Divinity Degree.
Married to Mrs. Yolanda H. Bryant. They are the parents of five children: Supt. Prince E. Bryant, II, Missionary Dommonique Jeannie Bryant, Phillip Paul Bryant, Elder Desmon Ryan Bryant (Missionary Franchell Bryant), and Tymorra Mishon Bryant
Mother Yolanda Schnette Howard Bryant is the youngest of three daughters born to the late Mr. Arthur Lake Howard and Mother Doris Belle Howard. She has a strong foundation of faith, family, and dedication, which have been integral to her life and ministry.
As the First Lady of Buck Street Memorial Church of God in Christ in Houston, Texas, Mother Bryant serves alongside her husband, Bishop Prince E.W. Bryant, Sr. She is a devoted servant of God, focusing on spiritual growth and community development. Her ministry involves leading programs and encouraging the congregation through wisdom and inspiration.

Mother Yolanda Schnette Howard Bryant has a strong educational background that has significantly contributed to her professional and ministerial endeavors. She received her early education in the Houston Independent and North Forest School Districts, graduating with honors from M.B. Smiley High School. She then pursued higher education at Houston Community College, earning an Associate's degree in Applied Data Processing. Continuing her academic journey, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business from Texas Southern University. In 1991, she furthered her education at the University of Houston, focusing on Special Education. By 1992, she became certified in Special Education for grades K-12, which led to a dedicated 25-year career in the education sector, culminating in her retirement on May 31, 2016.
